My reply, complete with .pdf invoice of parts attached -
Hi Julie,
I called a UPS representative who is also confused as to the true status of this package and what the issue may be?
He did say it might be helpful to provide as much information as possible.
I am restoring a 1979 Kawasaki KZ1300 motorcycle. I’ve had it since new. As you can imagine, parts for a 43 year old motorcycle are no longer available from the manufacturer, Kawasaki.
This is where Helmut steps in. He is producing replacement parts no longer available from the manufacturer.
Inside the box are approximately 30 various parts needed for my restoration.
There are o-rings, turn signal lenses, a water pump seal, gaskets, etc.
I’ve attached the invoice from Helmut, I hope you can read German.
Please keep me informed,
Thank You,
Don Carver
Finally
Donald,
I wanted to let you know your shipment has been released.
Best Regards,
Sarah Robin Williams

All shipments will be eligible for General Order (G.O.) warehousing by U.S. Customs on the 15th calendar day after the shipment is imported into the United States. Any shipment picked by a G.O. Warehouse will be assigned additional warehouse fees by U.S. Customs. These fees must be paid in full before it can be removed from the warehouse. Any shipments remaining in G.O. for 6 months may be auctioned off in accordance with the U.S. Import regulations
So imagine my suprise when the box arrives complete with ALL the information Customs needed as provided by Helmut. Customs was simply to lazy to open the plastic and read the declared contents. Sigh.
