2011-07-15 Mill Valley
OK, so this wasn't really an anti-WFO rally. Although the idea of a smaller venue, closer to home, with no registration fees was and still is appealing. The FJR is still down for maintenance, so Mill Ultra, a 1991 Harley with 139k miles was pressed into service.
The timing could not have been better - full moon over the Hondarosa the night before.
Trailered Miss Ultra out to pavement - 3 miles of dirt road takes too much energy to clean Miss Ultra.. She's pampered.
First stop? Breakfast and coffee!
and TWN salute, of course!
101 north of King City, a contingent of HP motobikers roared through - at least 85 mph.
L-R, MCML, Neil San Diego, Recreate all secretly wish they had a Harley too.
Jorstins's new ride - more bling than most Harley chrome. At least he ain't afraid to have it take a dirt nap..
Even Mill Ultra ain't this
cleangay .Jer lost a saddle bag cover, but ain't no thing, he has bungee cords!
Fairlaner arrives with swag.
A BIG Thanks to Bustanut for engraving these and sending to R!
Me thinks Dolly told stories of our Eureka encounter - how else would Bustanut know I'm a Thimble dik?
Tag backside.
The wanna own a Harley thing got out of control - even Fairlaner wants to look pirate, as judged by his new boots..
This crew knew how to party.. On the 2nd story deck and getting noisy..
L to R Jer(reflective coat) Neil SD, Jorstin, Ex Ski Bum and E, MCML, Recreate, Fairlaner, MzDcarver
Fairlaner, wanting to look *just* like his hero Warchild! :)
The ExSkiBum's
Moon's over Tyler were also seen! (but not viewed here!)
Jer shows off his 'special' finger!
WeLuvBiking arrives - me thinks Phil gives MadMike stiff competition for the Santa Claus look-alike beard winner!
Jorstin doing what he does best.. clean, clean... I feel pretty, oh so pretty!
Juxtaposition.
The closest to a group pix I got..
Jorstin discovers the R1200 is a tallllllllll bike. Simple tip over, downhill side.
Foggy up at Pt Reyes.
Tiffany loves geology. Me thinks she should start a new career. She really really enjoys and is fascinated with formations like this.
Big whale pix..
Jawbones.
Head.
Info
Cool patina on old brass sign.
Freakin' foggy looking down the stairs. But like the sign said, the lighthouse was as low as possible on the cliff to stay under the fog. The visitor station was at 600 feet.
..and sure enough, the lighthouse was clear of fog!
I like this pix. Jeremy and Tiffany are really good peeps and I wish them all the best the world has to offer.
J & T again.
The wimps didn't walk the .4 miles one way to the visitor station. The preferred to huddle in the cold and wet fog..
MCML must have been a boy scout at one time in his life.. always prepared!
ExSkiBum and MCML wonder about all things complicated. Like when will the sun come out?
MadMike, Jer, Fairlaner. The reason Jer is so damn healthy at 70 is that he has a good time, no matter what. Just like Fairlaner! NOT!
We couldn't keep up with the FJR's, they are just too fast for Miss Ultra. So we said adios to the pack and road our own slow and nice CBA ride..
Classic lines. and the gurl ain't bad either!
I bought this bike new in 1991...
MizDcarver and I had a really nice time at Stinson beach. Fish n' Chips, people watching, just quiet and mellow. Warm too.
MizDcarver pix..
Leaving Stinson Beach fish n' chips, still in Stinson, we serendipitously ran across the Highlanders! We then rode up Mt. Tampax (Tampalis?) for a view. I've never seen Dave ride sooo sloooww!
No doggie is safe when MizDcarver is around..
The Highlanders take it all in.
MizDcarver says I always screw up the possible Christmas foto pix...
Found this hobo robbing the liquor store...
The early birds get ready for the next round of merriment!
Diane waves hi! (Mrs. Highlander)
Dcarver, Tyler, Neil San Diego.
Me.
Name the riders!
EDIT from my 'bud' Highlander -
"let me help ya ya old fawk..... :P Jeff ( Ijuggle ) and Terry ( local to the area )"
Mysterious metric bike riders (not sure who is on the left, but it's Phil & Charlene (Luv2Ride) on the right.
EDIT - It's Hycle on the left!
Hycle, looking SCARY!
Fairlaner does his best to trolling action to get the natives active...
I like their helmets..
J & T (sorry, don't recall forum handle)
Dave and Diane
Phil
Steve
Don't know who this is - he rode one day, did not meet him!
EDIT - It's Ken from Stockton.
Neil
Mikeeee
Our friends Dan and Stacy live in the hood and offered to take us on a nice ride. So we did! The Feejer contingent was very concerned as the Harley tribe had doubled in size!
Pretty roads up there..
These two have been buds for a very long time.. Stacy and Shauna.
A barn picture for OrangevaleFJR.
The cool weather is great for a 20 year old air cooled engine.
Metal art in Calistoga
WOOF!
Christmas card?
Dan and Stacy

Napa greenery. The vines up here are more mature than in central coast.
Dan and Stacy peel off for home, we head back to the hotel.
Later that night it was a high dollar food porn fest at the Eye-talian restaurant across the street.
MadMIkes new hair doo?
They seated us in our room. Wonder why?
You can take the boy out of the country.... MadMike
Fairlaner and his harem.. One bottle of expensive wine and the fraulines were over him like....
Not McDonalds, that's for sure..
Desert!
..and off to the last evening rodeo... that's the restaurant in the background.
Remember Animal Kingdom?
"While Jeremey walked 1.2 miles one way to fetch beer for his loverly Tiffany, Tiffany kept the boyz in stitches telling tall tales of derring do!"
Even the moon in SF is 'different'..
Steve, aka Recreate, drank all this. by himself. really.
...and we all had a reaaallll goooood time!
Last pix. Everyone left Sunday except us. We lounged, ate, slept, relaxed. Cruised on home Monday.
A really fun time with great peeps.
Thanks to Richard for organizing and to Barry (Bustanut) for the swag!
Sorry I missed this
Gosh, wasn't even invited to this gig .....
Still sorry I missed it as it looked like the grass-roots kind of bike fun that cannot be matched. Thanks for sharing your fun and hope I get an invite next time you fucking wanktoids.
.....john (in reno)
Special invitation?
You wanktard! Ok, here's your special invite. I'm going to Vermont, for NERDS.
