This thread a spin-off from this one. To start at beginning, click here.
Ok screw it.
Here's that post repeated.
Corroded nut on starter cable. Connection was clean, however.

Out of the hole and cleaned up.

OEM starter. 60 amps initial, 30 amps running, unloaded. New one from Rick's Electro ordered.

O-Ring shape? Looks flat. Need to see if Rick's comes w O-Ring or not.

Back to original programming. Box arrived in pretty good shape.

Except for this gouge.

Yep, the lug post gouged through.

Purty enough..On bench, ~45 amp initial draw then down to 30. Unloaded of course.

Then issues. The positive terminal is reversed on Rick's.

Making it hard to install cable once motor installed.

Off to Rick's Rodeo. Loosened cable from solenoid, brought up extra slack, reversed direction, installed cable, tried to stab motor.. Very tight fit and no longer 'road serviceable.

But I got it in there. Going to email/call Ricks and see what's up.
Did notice they have two different motors available...
- New OEM Style Kawasaki Stator 21_245
- New Kawasaki Starter Motor 61_205
I went for option one thinking it would be a 'direct replacement.
Will update results from Rick's response..
