2024-01-30 How to Remove flywheel?
The flywheel bolt is stamped LH. Presumably to denote Left Hand thread e.g. turn clockwise to remove.
Not finding a
16mm x 1.5 *left hand*hardened bolt puller. That's because it's actually an 18mm x 1.5 RH thread bolt. It screws into the female flywheel threads then presses against the crank.
Another mystery of life solved!
2024-02-09 Starter Clutch Fix
All 3 dampner bolts found loose. Real loose. No LocTite. WTF, Ray?
Flywheel bolt is left handed thread. Rotate right to loosen.
Puller 'bolt' is RH thread 18x1.5. It threads into flywheel inner thread, presses against crankshaft. Air impact at 40 psi was all it took.
Clutch rollers, keeper, springs all look SAT.
Holes not elongated. Caught it in time.
x
Allen cap bolts thread slightly buggered just under cap but no thread engagement there, decided to run them.
Installed, all looks ok. Haven't cranked it via battery yet.
