More progress today.

New throttle cables installed. They were almost too short. Note that the cables have slack, but ALL adjustments are at limits.

Even the  threads on the switch assembly are at limit.

Been too long since I took it apart. How do all the pieces fit? What's the assembly order?

Took some time and what not. Also cleaned everything then applied spray on polish.

Thank you very much for your feedback , it is appreciated.
We try to find the best quality parts for these beasts when the original is no longer available. There are some very bad inferior parts out there especially on ebay, some of the carb kits are awful. We have compared them to the ones we sell and you can see why carbs do not work when fitted with these. They go for around £12 whereas ours are £58.
 
The cables are meant to be fairly tight to start with, we had this on the originals too, so that as you start putting some miles on the bike and they "bed" in, it allows for a slight amount of give. They will soon be bedded in and not so tight.
