The 1979 built first sold in 1980 has been getting alot of road miles...
In the back of the Dodge!
Ready to load using the Neo-Dyne cycle loader.
Miss Mollie supervises. She's good at supervising..
While up in the air, pulled 1 and 2. Typical Kz1300 rich..
What's behind the covers?
Mysterious non OEM components! Got to ask Bob.
5 and 6 also rich. All plugs threaded easily, a good sign.
Bob must have about to replace coils and wires.. I have new coils in the "Box of Bob"!
Looks very stock except for the mystery box.
Rear end looks oil tight.
Mufflers have chrome surface rust but appear to be functional.
Low oil level. Will change it before even turning the crank by hand.
Folks will say it's not needed but that oil has collected moisture for 40 plus years.
I think the aluminium will buff clean and shiny.
Need to find a good chrome shop.
Custom made forward foot pegs.. Made at TRW?
OEM vacuum petcock! Have not seen one of those since 1979!
Notice #1 cap fix too.
Going to find a professional polisher..
Water pump seal most likely will leak at engine start.
I have two new spares.
Like the speech bubble says...
This bike has very good bones to restore.
Bob installed air shocks and added SW air kit to forks too.
Another mystery!
Saeng barn-door fairing. Bob says it glows on the edges.
I will trim it down if I use it.. prefer to look over, not through.
OEM horns and cover too!
Reason for loading Bob's Beauty, aka BB, was to title it at AAA.
Anything over 15 years falls off the books.
I asked the nice lady what would happen if I stole very expensive bike, hid it for 15 years
and tried to title it? She just went 'hmmm, I guess it would title'!
