I've spent the last couple of days visiting with Pops and Mom. This time around, it's been easier to stay in the 'old folks home' - the smell, sights, and sounds have, for reasons unknown, been easier on me.

I took each spare moment and downsized the pix for this blog, hoping it will assist in reducing the load time - I've had several peeps mention that this site freezes their browsers and that ain't good.

It looks like I'll be heading home Thursday, and I'm considering a Saddle Sore 1K as a fitting climax.

Family issues have consumed much more time than originally considered - and in hindsight, I would have done my 'chores' early on then have the rest of the road trip to fully enjoy. 

You might say the last 2 days have been a bit different, perhaps even sobering. Then again, the discussions with Pops have been forthright and honest.

Sigh.
