Pops needed me to check out some real estate for him and offered to pay gas money. Hey, it's a good gig if you get it!

Took off down the coast cause it's lots warmer than inland these days. That plus my heated gear didn't arrive in time - so screw it I'm going anyway.

This is the dirt road going to the first property in Joshua Tree. Holy crikees, why did I not install a fresh set of TKC80 knobbies? I just installed Anakee's and wondered how well they would do.

Apparently, not so good. My right leg was trapped under the saddlebag, took some maneuvering to escape it.

Made it to GunMD's abode. He had beer. Steak. Potatoes. Salad. Me likes all these things!

Alas, though, it appears married life has softened ol Gun.... He now owns a cage... <sigh>

At least he doesn't wash his bike.

Good twisty road. 

New solar power farms, two of them, under construction in California Valley. When challenged by the guard, I told him I was on a mission for the 'Stranded Kangaroo Rat Society'. The look on his face was priceless.

The apparatus on left is a truck wash station - to prevent non-native seeds from growing.

This is a huge project, 3rd largest in the world. Warren Buffet just bought the NRG plant.

Dang, this is just 5 miles from la casa. The white pickup up truck is covering up a silver car that was under it and in the ditch. WTFO?
