2020-11-19 Honda Cbx, Kawasaki Kz1300 and Bmw R69s Come Home

Been a few years now....

Ray and Patti arrive with 3 bikes in trailer. Hope they're all still vertical and flopping around like dead fish in an ice chest..

This is a good sign! Cbx and Kz still in the bike chocks and on their tires.

Tight fit.. Ray did a great job prepping the trailer... E-Track, Wheel Chocks, and even a front wheel chock for the 69s..

The R69s wants out first.

Neighbor and fellow gearhead Gary came over to help. Glad he showed up... I damn near dumped the Kz1300 when revving it while standing on kick stand opposite side.. The sidestand needs be a bit longer... and it dug into the ground when revving the mighty K6. LOL. 'Help, Help, HELP!" Things that make your heart race..

Alot of work. Ray had them puppies tied right the phuck down!

Gary supervises while maintaining Covid-19 social distance.

She's a purty gurrl.

Free at last! Bike hasn't started since worked on my Murph at Murphs BMW after Scottie from Scotties Cycle fucked it all up. More on that later.

Ray is recovering from hand surgery. Here he points out the battery connection and fuse. OEM has no fuse <gasp>.

Next down the ramp, the CBX. Sourced locally from a riding bud, Ray went through *everything* to make sure this low mile beauty is ready to rock the road. Swing arm, steering head bearings, chain, sprockets, battery, new tires (of the correct size!) and yada yada yada. Oh, carbs rebuilt by Jack at 'Old School Carbs as they had sat too long and gummed up due to lack of use by PO.

And the mighty KZ1300! The overheating problem was a timing issue. At least we think it's cured at this point in time.. First test ride and more info later.

In the shop. German and Japanese coexisting peacefully! From 6 cylinders to 2... Can't we all just get along?

The Kz1300 blew her fork seals, probably from lack of use and being somewhat compressed for the journey home. No big deal.

While not concourse, 'Aunt Ruth' is very close. Everything has been gone through, inspected, replaced, fixed, cared for with love. RIP my real Aunt Ruth, this bike is for you.

Sitting pretty. The black bike is a 1969 R60/2, Uncle Dutch.

The 6-1 DG exhaust system sounds awesome..

Last pic. Running out of laptop battery...
