2021-01-01 Compression and Carb Sync Test

Happy New Year I hope..

Prepping the Kz for a test ride. Thought a compression test and Carb sycn test might be in order.

I have a 4-cylinder CarbTune, can't see all six vacuum ports at once. Here's one and two.

Pretty darn close. Remember the Kz has trip-deuce carbs.

Next up 3 and 4.

Hmmm. Not as close. Clueless as to if this is within specs or Oh My God..

The last two, 5 and 6.

High shy of 25, low at 22.8? Thought I'd post this to the peeps on KZ1300.com to see what the experts think.
For now, leaving it as-is.

Compression.  Number one is an over-acheiver. Retested 1 and 2 to ensure my numbers were repeatable.

Fairing back on, all electrics work! Hi/Lo beam, emergency flashers, all of it is good!

Test ride tomorrow, if it's not too foggy or cold..

Also... ran the ColurTune in all 6 holes and adjusted idle mixture. It helped! Smoother idle, crisper response. But the needles, with exception of #5 cylinder, need be dropped.. Too rich.

And yes, it's cold and I'm outside working in the dark.
