Day 1 - Tues 9/11/18 Creston-Susanville
With interstate 5 closed due to fire decided to run I5 and other roads to overnight in Susanville with Tom and Majel. Not much to report on as I5 is well, I5 and how many times have all us been up and down *that* corridor?

Day 4 - Fri 9/14/18 - Collier Logging Musuem & Massage
For years I've ridden past the Collier Logging Musuem. Since I had a 4pm massage appointment, couldn't go for a 'bid dog' ride so hung local and today was the day to play tourist.
What a place! At first it looked like a waste of 70 miles of s t r a i g h t and b o r i n g US-97 as this outdoor museum appeared to have, perhaps, 5 exhibits! But, the property just kept going and going and going. Over 2 hours later, I still hadn't seen it ALL, but had seen enough.
The museum is categorized by history of logging. First using animals, then steam, then internal combustion.
There is no admission fee but I left a 20 dollar cash donation. Well worth the $$!
Arrived in time for the massage and later libations with the RuebenRun7 crowd.
Huge props to JP for bringing a trailer full of propane heaters, bbq grills, tri-tip and even mixed cocktails!

Day 9 - Wed 9/19/18 - Jean Breakfast - Kathy, Leon, Kim Dinner So good to see Jean again. She looks marvelous, and 18 months after Wayne's passing, she's ready to 'move on' and take care of Jean
Dinner with Kim, Kathy and Leon was wonderful. Kim is doing great after her bout with cancer that damn near killed her. K&L look great too.
So good to take a day off, chill, see old and wonderful friends.

Day 10 - Thurs 9/20/18 - Meet with Linda
Very good to see both Linda and Tina today. Linda is my step-sister, Tina her daughter.
Rode to Linda's place then we drove to the beach, Pacific City OR, for some GREAT clam chowder.
Also fun to the 'Dory' boats, flat-bottomed, skid onto the beach for landing. No cranes needed!
Enjoy the video..

Day 12 - Sat 9/22/18 Kezier Or to Weed Ca
Going old school ride report with static pictures and words. Takes more time, but I've been missing the narrative of feelings, perceptions, thoughts.
The stay in Keizer was good.. to see family and friends from the real and extended families. But now it's time to go.
Every trip to Oregon, since about 1975, I've been rained on. Not this time! Radar showed showers, but rain not reaching the ground..
This truck had serious issues. Blowing blue/white out of the stacks.. Not sure.. maybe head gasket leakage?
Of cars, trucks and trains..
All of this is I5.. which is now open after bad fires near Whiskey Town CA.
Not an exciting ride, but at least it's still green up here in North country.
First smoke from the fires.
Grants Pass is in a bowl, causing inversion layers for the smoke to sit in and stay...
It was worse than what it looks. Breathing and eyes both impacted.
Back to the beautiful state of Kali and hi taxes, property values, and little water..
The road goes on forever and the party never ends!
DoggieDog!
That's about it.. Not much to see here..
