Thinking of Going Back to Stock Exhaust
So then. Did a block/head flush, removed fairing and heat deflector.
Bike ran great in 97F + Temps
Part of the overheating component is single wall pipes transmitting excessive heat into radiator.
Got me to thinking, 'what do I have left over to convert to stock?
Turns out, quite a bit!
LHS pipe/collector is NOS.
My OEM KZ1300 had bung holes on all six headers. In 2013 I bought a used set which don't have bung holes for the 4 interior pipes.
Double wall means less heat into the radiator.
The mufflers I have. would need re-chroming. But functionally sound.
I wonder if anyone makes slip-ons for stock headers?
