2023-03-23 Kz1300 Valve Cover Install 

Recently performed valve adjustment. Time to install valve cover.

NOS.

From my 'Spares' parts bin.. had new since 1979?

Tachometer gear drive. Should be replaced, it's got grooves.

Valve cover cleaned up. Used a plastic razor to prevent damage on sealing surface.

New end caps.

Cleaned up other mating surface too.

Looking good!

Used brush on gasket remover from Permatex, IIRC. Worked great!

Applied 3-Bond using a syringe. Nice, easy, no excess!

Used weights to seal gasket to cover. Easier install this way. Worked great!
